Project Management Mastery is designed to teach practical project management skills needed to successfully define, plan, and manage projects. This three-day course takes you through a step-by-step process for planning and managing projects of all types and sizes. Concepts and examples presented are reinforced through demonstrations and structured exercises using real-life projects. By the end of the course, each participant will have acquired hands-on experience in applying the concepts and techniques to produce a quality project plan. As California standards for building performance move in the direction of zero net energy, good project management skills can assist teams to meet and exceed minimum requirements.

At the conclusion, participants will

About the Instructor
Jack Sivak is the founder of Strategic Project Systems (SPS), a firm helping organizations improve the likelihood of project success through better strategic project planning. Jack developed the PDQ Planning Workshop™ to help organizations quickly plan new projects or recover late, over-budget, and volatile strategic projects. He also developed SPS’s Project Planning & Implementation course.
Jack’s 45+-year career began as a field engineer with Link Aviation flight simulation systems. He has since worked and consulted extensively with a broad spectrum of industries and functional organizations within those industries.
In a typical year, Jack helps organizations plan over 100 projects and coaches and educates over 500 project team members, managers and executives in project and program management processes and best practices. To each client, Jack brings his comprehensive systems thinking, personal experiences, wisdom, and research in a variety of project lifecycles and in the many dimensions of projects and project stakeholders.
