How can your design practice best harness social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Houzz, LinkedIn and You Tube – to develop an impactful online presence for branding, business development and retention? This fast-paced presentation will include best practice examples and key takeaways of what each platform can do with suggestions on immediate, short-term and long-term implementation. This presentation is best suited for small and mid-size firms with limited in-house marketing resources who are seeking to define an online strategy for today’s market.


About the Presenters

David Duncan Livingston, photographer
David Duncan Livingston has been photographing for architects, interior designers, magazines and books for over twenty years. His editorial-style photos are captured using natural light that gives them a natural feeling. A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Livingston wears many hats on a photo shoot; acting as producer, art director, photographer and stylist. "My clients look to me to give vision to their story, distill it to the key elements and create photos that are engaging, thoughtful & beautiful." Livingston has been the sole photographer of a number of interior design books including San Francisco Style, California Country Style, Hawaii a Sense of Place, and The New City Home.


Lisa Boquiren, brand strategist
A design and architecture aficionada, Lisa Boquiren brings insight, ideas and strategy to creative businesses. She loves rebranding initiatives, which she has successfully shepherded for San Francisco Design Center and EHDD, among others. Her clients and their stories have appeared in a variety of outlets such as, San Francisco Magazine, San Francisco Chronicle, Habitat, San Francisco Business Times and Dwell. In a volunteer role, Lisa chaired for 6 years, the AIASF communications committee which incubated an event now known as Equity By Design (EQxD).
